Enclosures
Before getting your first mantis, please prepare your enclosures (or mantis cages) in advance

Making your own enclosure could cost as little as S$1.30 ($1 USD) or almost free if you can re-purpose household items such as disposable plastic deli cups and used stockings.

I prefer to use these durable plastic containers I found at my local bakery DIY shop. A cheap soldering iron is used to punch holes for ventilation.
Add adhesive medical mesh at roof below cap, and sides of walls for mantis to climb and perch.
